This exhibition brings together the works of Abid Aslam, Sheema Khan, and Asif Ahmed—three distinguished artists deeply engaged with the discipline of miniature painting. Each was trained within this tradition, drawing inspiration from the Persian, Mughal, and Indian schools that have long shaped the aesthetics and philosophy of South Asian visual culture.
While rooted in this classical lineage, their practices extend far beyond replication. The exhibition highlights how each artist reinterprets the miniature not merely as a technique, but as a living language capable of engaging in dialogue with contemporary thought, materials, and emotions. Through meticulous brushwork, subtle layering, and conceptual inquiry, they expand the miniature into new realms of scale, texture, and meaning.
Together, these three voices offer a compelling exploration of continuity and change. Their works remind us that tradition, when approached critically and creatively, can remain both relevant and revolutionary—bridging time, culture, and the enduring human desire to see, to feel, and to interpret the world anew.
